American Idol?
Sarah's recently discovered GarageBand, an app on our computer that really very easily lets someone who doesn't know anything about music, put together entire songs. Since she and some friends have been talking about forming 'a band' she wanted to play with garageband. Here's what she put together in about 45 minutes the first time she used it - complete with vocals. My Home Town.

The Doctor is: IN
It's official, we're no longer paying the bills, she's no longer taking classes, and she has a funny stol to put around her robe (hey, at least she didn't get the pink robe like the guy on stage...)...Kirsten officially graduated from Drexel with her PhD! Congrats!

New home?
We've been looking for a little more 'elbow room' for a while now. We just placed an offer on a prooperty that has 21 acres and a stream on it - lowballed it, and they accepted it contingent upon the sales of our house. Looks like if we can sell our house quickly, we've got a brand new mortgage to babysit. Excited and nervous at the same time. Here a picture of the girls taking a walk by the stream (there's a much bigger river to the left, behind the island). If it worked out, it'd mean a much shorter drive for Kirsten to work, and a much longer one for me. Currently it's a horse farm, but we'd likely let the pastures grow up into forest (i don't know anything about horses except they sound like a lot of work). The house isn't quite what we'd like it to be (we really like our place now), but we'd be getting it for the land, not necessarily the house. Over the next few years we'd be able to make all the changes we'd need to to get it 'up to speed' if you will, but it's certainly livable now, just not aesthetically our style.

Late Christmas

Through the words of an 8 year old...
My Trip!

I hope me and my family have a fun time at the tropical island we are going to! The place we are going to is called Jamaica. I am going to stay at the Marriott hotel! The next day we go to the airport to leave for Jamaica! I can not wait to go! If you were going to a tropical island like Jamaica would you be exited? Tell why or why not!
I am finally in Jamaica. I am going to talk about the beach first. The sand is so soft it feel’s like you could do anything when you are on it. I found two conch shells they were cracked a little bit because the animal had to get out of it sometime or the other. It was amazing I just found them laying there. I got a necklace that was hand carved it is a moon. The tide really came in on Tuesday. I just love spending time with my family so much. I kind of miss all of my friend’s. I went snorkeling for the first time but I didn’t really like it all because of the sword fish they kind of freaked me out. If you went snorkeling would you be afraid of a fish that look’s like they might be able to hurt you? Tell why or why not.
One day my family went out to the beach and I found two more conch shells laying behind a tree. Now I have 4 conch shells. There might be a crab living inside
The lazy river was my second favorite thing to do. My first beach. It was all very fun though. I saw a star fish when we went kayaking with my family. We also went for a banana boat ride but I did not like it. We were going to go for a ride on the sailboat but we couldn’t. At least we got to go on a thing that look’s a lot like a hot air balloon but is not a hot air balloon.
I got my hair braided down at the other beach. Even though it took a while to braid it my hair was finally finished.

IT WAS FUN!!!!
The End
